HCB Hospitales has expanded its Urology Service with the incorporation of Dr. Andrés Verger Kuhnke, a specialist in Urology, to its own medical staff. He has an extensive professional career that has developed between several countries: Argentina, Germany, Spain and Austria.
International training
Dr. Andrés Verger studied medicine in his native Argentina at the National University of Cuyo. There he also completed his specialisation in Urology, which he ratified in Germany.
Dr. Verger’s training in urology in Germany began in Aachen at the medical school of the RWTH Universitätsklinikum-Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule and completed his training in Stuttgart at the Karl-Olga Krankenhaus Hospital Reuter Klinik-hospital of the University of Ulm, where he obtained his specialist degree, and finally completed his Doctorate in Medicine at the prestigious University of Tübingen on congenital malformations and their surgical treatment.
His professional career, spanning almost 30 years, has been spent in Argentina and Germany and since 2007 in Spain, especially in the Hospital de Torrevieja and, for a few years, in Klinikum Wels, Austria.
Not only is Dr. Verger’s international trajectory outstanding, but also his extensive curriculum in publications and scientific work, as well as his participation in congresses and extensive training that allows him to offer his patients the most innovative treatments.
Dr. Verger, who speaks Spanish, German and English, provides consultation and surgery services in the two hospitals of the group, HCB Benidorm and HCB Dénia, and will be also consulting in HCB Calpe.
